Enhancing Neem Cultivation for the Future

To promote sustainable agriculture and environmental restoration, Vetry has partnered with the (IFGTB), Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding to implement a specialized project focused on the production and evaluation of superior neem planting stocks in Tamil Nadu’s western zone.

This initiative aims to produce 10,000 high-yielding neem saplings, using propagating material from mother trees selected by IFGTB for their superior fruit-bearing qualities. These saplings are being planted and monitored to assess long-term yield and adaptability.

As part of its social investment program, Vetry has funded ₹2 lakhs toward the production and supply of these superior planting stocks. Vetry, through its social investment efforts, is also supporting community mobilization, planting, and post-care of these saplings to ensure healthy establishment and data-backed evaluation.

The project is further strengthened with technical support from the (FCRI), Forest College and Research Institute , Mettupalayam, making it a collaborative step toward improving agroforestry, biodiversity, and local livelihoods.
