We began as a humble tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Vanathukkul Tirupur (VT), took root with a goal to plant One Lakh Trees. Today, the vision has blossomed into a powerful green movement with 25 Lakh trees planted across Tirupur and we’re still growing strong.
Tirupur, India’s Knitwear Capital, has seen rapid industrial growth since the 1970s. While it brought economic progress, it also led to shrinking water bodies, poor air quality, and rising pollution levels.
To counter these effects, Vetry’s launched Vanathukkul Tiruppur as its mass tree plantation campaign in 2015, not just as an environmental initiative, but as a climate action movement to rebuild the ecological balance, protect biodiversity, and strengthen community resilience.

Vanathukkul Tirupur is more than a tree-planting project it is a citizen-led climate action movement. In our 25 years journey of social service, we’ve transformed empty lands into green lungs for the city and built a model for sustainable urban development. Together, we are not only greening Tirupur we are combating climate change, empowering communities, and creating a healthier planet for the generations to come. Let the roots of every tree planted today carry the strength of our commitment to a better, greener future.

Vanathukkul Tirupur has successfully completed more than 1500+ projects. Many Farmland owners volunteer to plant trees on their barren lands. Now all these effort has grown as a forest in and around Tirupur. If you got a chance to visit Tirupur you will witness many forest around the city. And we can proudly say that these are the efforts taken by Vetry – Vanathukkul Tirupur.
